Software - 18 November 2020 Update (Rev 1.4.1031.622)

Announcing EVOS M5000 Software Revision 1.4.1031.622

Revision 1.4.1031.622 introduces new features, including transfection efficiency and batch analysis, and enhanced Z-stack overlay functionality. It also fixes a few bugs.

Review the below Installation Instructions below before updating your software.

New features

Transfection efficiency

  • Calculate transfection efficiency based on a user-adjustable threshold of positive pixels in the fluorescence channel after determining confluence. Percent transfection is based on the ratio of pixels in fluorescence compared to those in confluence. Can be applied to a single field or to multiple fields using batch analysis. This tool helps assess and optimize transfection conditions and cell assay readiness.

Z-stack overlay

  • Provides users the ability to create composite images that enhance the visual content and improve data and visual analysis.

Batch analysis

  • Apply settings from automated Cell Count, Confluence, or Transfection Efficiency to images in a folder from multiple fields or wells to generate quantitative measurements.

Bug fixes

Webpage Wi-Fi sign-in

  • Resolves an issue for users at many facilities that require the use of captive portal pages to connect to Wi-Fi networks.

16-bit .tiff save option

  • Provides users greater visibility and enhanced workflow in saving 16-bit .tiff images.

OSI log file creation

  • Provides a more user-friendly bug reporting capability for the EVOS Onstage Incubator.
