Software Update (Rev. 1.5.1500.493)

Announcing EVOS M5000 Software Revision 1.5.1500.493

Revision 1.5.1500.493 introduces new features such as the channel alignment tool and improved Onstage Incubator integration, as well as UI/UX changes and bug fixes to provide a more consistent user experience, both within the instrument and between other Thermo Fisher Connect Platform products.

Review the Installation instructions below before updating your software.

New features

Channel Alignment Tool

  • The channel alignment tool allows EVOS M5000 users to correct pixel shifts that may occasionally appear when performing fluorescence imaging at higher magnifications. Users can select individual channels in a multichannel image, move them to the correct position relative to other channels, and then save the corrected image.

Thermo Fisher Connect Login Workflow

  • The updated connectivity workflow allows new users to link their Thermo Fisher Connect accounts from a mobile (using a QR code) or from a PC (using a linking code), thus aligning with Thermo Fisher Connect Platform standards and providing consistency across instruments. The list of all linked users is now displayed in the sign-in window, and sign-in can be done more easily using a PIN code.

On-Stage Incubator Calibration and O2 Sensor Replacement Message

  • Provides users with a reminder to periodically calibrate and, as necessary, replace the on-stage incubator’s oxygen sensor.

Display Settings and Analysis Tool Auto-Hide Option

  • Gives users the option of making the Display Settings and Analysis Tools auto-hide. The default is to hide the button bar when the mouse moves away from the image, but now users can optionally turn off this behavior and always keep the button bar visible.

Bug fixes

UI/UX Updates

  • Aligned and adjusted fonts, icons, and messages for overall consistency.

Intensity Histogram Tool

  • Fixed an erroneous histogram output when using the oval tool as the region of interest.

Cloud Connectivity

  • Fixed an issue with connecting to the Thermo Fisher Connect Platform.
