5T4 Antibody (PA5-47690) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of 5T4 in immersion fixed D3 mouse embryonic stem cell line. Samples were incubated in 5T4 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47690) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI(blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm.

In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human 5T4 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
This gene encodes a leucine-rich transmembrane glycoprotein that may be involved in cell adhesion. The encoded protein is an oncofetal antigen that is specific to trophoblast cells. In adults this protein is highly expressed in many tumor cells and is associated with poor clinical outcome in numerous cancers. Alternate splicing in the 5' UTR results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009].
