Target Information
REEP1 and REEP2 (Receptor Expression Enhancing Protein 1 and 2) are members of the REEP family of proteins. These proteins are involved in the shaping of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the proper localization and function of receptors, particularly G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). REEP1 and REEP2 are important for shaping the endoplasmic reticulum and facilitating the proper expression and function of GPCRs. Their roles are critical in both cellular functions and neurological health, with mutations in these proteins being linked to specific neurodegenerative conditions.
