Detection of human and mouse CHD4 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 µg, HEK293T (T; 50 µg) and mouse NIH 3T3 (M; 50 µg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CHD4 antibody (Product # A301-083A) (lot A301-083A-1) used at 0.04 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 seconds.

Target Information
The product of this gene belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. It represents the main component of the nucleosome remodeling and deacetylase complex and plays an important role in epigenetic transcriptional repression. Patients with dermatomyositis develop antibodies against this protein.
