AATF/Che-1 Antibody (A301-032A) in IP
Detection of human AATF/Che-1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-AATF/Che-1 antibody (Product # A301-032A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. AATF/Che-1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-AATF/Che-1 antibody A301-031A, which recognizes an upstream epitopes For blotting immunoprecipitated AATF/Che-1, A301-031A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene was identified on the basis of its interaction with MAP3K12/DLK, a protein kinase known to be involved in the induction of cell apoptosis. This gene product contains a leucine zipper, which is a characteristic motif of transcription factors, and was shown to exhibit strong transactivation activity when fused to Gal4 DNA binding domain. Overexpression of this gene interfered with MAP3K12 induced apoptosis.
