Product Specific Information

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human SW620 whole cell, human 293T whole cell, human MCF-7 whole cell, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue. IHC: human lung cancer tissue, human intestinal cancer tissue IHC-F: rat brain tissue.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase that is enriched in insulin responsive tissues and has been implicated in the metabolic actions of the hormone. Akt is involved in many cellular signaling pathways and acts as a transducer of many functions initiated by growth factor receptors that activate phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI 3-kinase). Akt2 is amplified and overexpressed in some human cancers.
