AP4 Antibody (A302-760A) in IP
Detection of human AP4 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-AP4 antibody (Product # A302-760A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. AP4 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-AP4 antibody A302-761A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated AP4, A302-761A was used at 0.4 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

Target Information
Transcription factors of the basic helix-loop-helix-zipper(bHLH-ZIP) family contain a basic domain, which is used for DNA binding, and HLH and ZIP domains, which are used for oligomerization. Transcription factor AP4 activates both viral and cellular genes by binding to the symmetrical DNA sequence CAGCTG.
