Description: TNF-beta (LTX-21) is a mouse monoclonal antibody raised against native and recombinant TNF-beta of human origin.BMS105 specifically recognizes natural TNF-beta as well as recombinant TNF-beta (16 kDa and 18 kDa form).
The antibody can be used to stain TNF-beta producing cells. Immunoperoxidase or immunofluorescence techniques are applicable. BMS105 is also suitable as primary antibody in staining for FACS analysis,for for Western blot and ELISA application. BMS105FI can be used for direct staining of cells.
Applications Tested: ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting.

Target Information
TNF beta, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4 and psoriatic arthritis.
