BTLA Antibody (PA5-95592) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of BTLA in paraffin-embedded human tonsil tissues. Antigen retrieval was performed on the tissue using citrate buffer (pH 6, 20 min) and blocked with 10% goat serum. Samples were incubated with BTLA polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-95592) at a 1 µg/mL dilution, followed by biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG (30 min, 37°C), and developed with Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex and DAB.

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human HEK293 whole cell, human Jurkat whole cell, human CCRF-CEM whole cell, mouse thymus tissue. IHC: mouse spleen tissue, mouse spleen tissue, human tonsil tissue. Flow: THP-1 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
BTLA or B and T-lymphocyte attenuator is a member of the co-inhibitory receptors of the CD28 superfamily. BTLA is a lymphocyte inhibitory receptor which inhibits lymphocytes during immunes responses. BTLA is constitutively expressed on most CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and its expression progressively decreases upon T cell activation. It remains expressed on Th1 cells, but not Th2 cells. BTLA is a unique co-receptor that interacts with the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM). This interation is an important pathway regulating lymphocyte activation and/or homeostasis in the immune response.
