CACNA2D2 Antibody (PA5-95536) in WB
Western blot analysis of CACNA2D2 in Lane 1: human MCF-7 whole cell lysate. Electrophoresis was performed with 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel (70V, Stacking gel; 90V Resolving gel, Time: 2-3 hours), transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane and blocked using 5% Non-fat Milk/TBS (1.5 hrs at room temperature). Samples were incubated with CACNA2D2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-95536) using a 0.5 µg/mL dilution, followed by a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP at a dilution of 1:10,000, and developed with enhanced chemiluminescence (ECL).

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human MCF-7 whole cell. Flow: A549 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the alpha-2/delta subunit family, a protein in the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization and consist of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Various versions of each of these subunits exist, either expressed from similar genes or the result of alternative splicing. Research on a highly similar protein in rabbit suggests the protein described in this record is cleaved into alpha-2 and delta subunits. Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
