          CADM3 Antibody (PA5-47524) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of CADM3 in immersion fixed BG01V human embryonic stem cells differentiated into neurons. Samples were incubated in CADM3 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47524) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

          Product Specific Information

In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IGSF4C is observed and less than 2% cross-reactivity with rhIGSF4, rhIGSF4D, and rhIGSF8 is observed.

Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

          Target Information

Cell adhesion molecule 3 (CADM3), also known as Necl-1, is a gene located on chromosome 1p36.22, encoding a protein that is part of the immunoglobulin superfamily involved in cell-cell adhesion processes. CADM3 is predominantly expressed in the nervous system, particularly in regions such as the brain and spinal cord, where it plays crucial roles in neuronal communication, synapse formation, and maintenance of neural network architecture. The protein functions by mediating homophilic and heterophilic interactions with other cell adhesion molecules, facilitating synapse stabilization and neuronal differentiation. CADM3's activity is essential for proper neural development and function, and dysregulation of its expression has been linked to various neurological disorders. Beyond its role in the nervous system, CADM3 also contributes to tumor suppression in certain cancers, as its expression is often downregulated in tumor tissues. Research into CADM3 continues to explore its potential as a therapeutic target in both neurobiology and oncology.
