CBX8 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of CBX8 in HeLa cells. Samples were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked with 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), incubated with mouse anti-beta tubulin and CBX8 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-103359) using a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr, 37°C), and followed by goat anti-rabbit IgG Alexa Fluor 594 (red) and goat anti-mouse IgG Alexa Fluor 488 (green).

CBX8 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of CBX8 in MCF7 cell lysate (left lane: treated with blocking peptide). Samples were incubated with CBX8 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-103359).

Target Information

Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and modification of histones; it mediates monoubiquitination of histone H2A 'Lys-119', rendering chromatin heritably changed in its expressibility.
