          Product Specific Information

Flow Cytometry PBMC: Add 10 µL of MAB/10^6 PBMC in 100 µL PBS. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at 2 to 8C. Wash twice with PBS and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze.

Flow Cytometry Whole Blood: Add10 µL of MAB/100 µL of whole blood. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature 20C. Lyse the whole blood. Wash once with PBS and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze. See instrument manufacturer instructions for Lysed Whole Blood and Immunofluorescence analysis with a flow cytometer or microscope.

          Target Information

Natural killer (NK) cells in teleosts and their evolutionary homologue are a subpopulation of lymphocytes with properties that distinguish them from either B- or T-cells. NK cells are important effectors of innate immunity where they release cytokines, which in turn up-regulate other immunological functions. Monoclonal antibodies have been used to identify different surface antigens present on NK cells. These surface antigens have not only been used to identify NK cells, but also their functionally distinct subsets. The Cluster of Differentiation (CD) nomenclature was established to standardize the naming of NK cells.
