Western blot of CD97 in mouse colon (wild-type, left lane and knock-out, right lane) lysate was performed using 35ug protein in RIPA buffer. Lysates were probed with a CD97 polyclonal antibody (Product# PA5-37938) at a dilution of 1ug/ml and incubated for 1 hour, followed by detection using infrared fluorescence (Odyssey).

CD97 is a 75-85kDa monomeric glycoprotein that is present on the surface of most activated leucocytes. It is a receptor involved in both cell adhesion and signaling. CD97 is a member of the G protein coupled receptor family. It is expressed abundantly in cells of hematopoietic origin and is markedly upregulated on activated T and B cells. ESTs have been isolated from a wide variety of tissue libraries.
