Western Blot staining of HEK293 lysate overexpressing Human CDH11 (c-term Myc tagged and loaded in Lane A&C) stained with PA5-19317 at a concentration of 1 ug/ml (lane A). Lane C was stained with anti-MYC Tag at a dilution of (1/1000). Lane B was loaded with mock-transfected HEK293 cells and stained using PA5-19317 at a concentration of 1 mg/ml. Primary antibody incubation was performed for 1 hour and detection was performed by chemiluminescence.

This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse and rat based on sequence homology.
This gene encodes a type II classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily, integral membrane proteins that mediate calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion. Mature cadherin proteins are composed of a large N-terminal extracellular domain, a single membrane-spanning domain, and a small, highly conserved C-terminal cytoplasmic domain. Type II cadherins are defined based on their lack of a HAV cell adhesion recognition sequence specific to type I cadherins. Expression of this particular cadherin in osteoblastic cell lines, and its upregulation during differentiation, suggests a specific function in bone development and maintenance.
