CKII alpha Antibody (13032-100UG) in WB
Detection of human and mouse CKII alpha by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 µg) from HeLa, HEK293T, Jurkat, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH 3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CKII alpha antibody 13032 (lot 13032-5) used for WB at 0.1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
CSNK2A1 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that phosphorylates acidic proteins. The kinase exists as a tetramer and is composed of an alpha, an alpha-prime, and two beta subunits. The alpha subunits contain the catalytic activity while the beta subunits undergo autophosphorylation. The protein encoded by CK2 alpha-1 represents the alpha subunit. While CK2 alpha-1 is found on chromosome 20, a related transcribed pseudogene is found on chromosome 11. Three transcript variants encoding two different proteins have been found for CK2 alpha-1.
