1X10^6 Jurkat cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 µg CoraLite 488 Anti-Human GATA1 (Product # CL48860011100UL), Clone:5E2A8) (red), or 0.4 µg Mouse IgG1 Isotype Control (CL488-66360, Clone: T1F8D3F10) (blue). Cells were fixed and permeabilized with Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Kit (PF00011).

Transcriptional activator or repressor which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence 5'-[AT]GATA[AG]-3' within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells.
