CLOCK Antibody (A302-617A) in IP
Detection of human CLOCK by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CLOCK antibody (Product # A302-617A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. CLOCK was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CLOCK antibody A302-618A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated CLOCK, A302-618A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family of transcription factors. Polymorphisms within the encoded protein have been associated with circadian rhythm sleep disorders. A similar protein in mice is a circadian regulator that acts as a transcription factor and forms a heterodimer with aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator-like to activate transcription of mouse period 1.
