Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine KC (CXCL1). Anti-Murine KC (CXCL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine KC (CXCL1) matrix.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Murine KC (CXCL1) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine KC (CXCL1) (500-P115Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine KC (CXCL1).
Western Blot: To detect Murine KC (CXCL1) by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Murine KC (CXCL1) is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL3, also known respectively as GRO alpha, GRO beta (MIP-2 alpha) and GRO gamma (MIP-2 beta), are members of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Mature CXCL1/2/3 proteins bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B and are potent neutrophil attractants and activators. In vitro, the processed forms GRO-alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73) and GRO-alpha(6-73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity.
