Centrin 2 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescence staining of His-Centrin 2 in MCF7 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with Centrin 2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80470, 1:1,000) at 4°C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm and nucleus.

Centrin 2 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot using Centrin 2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80470) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: A549 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane B: HT29 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane C: MCF7 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary antibody: Goat Anti- RabbitIgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 20 kDa. Observed band size: 20 kDa. (We are unsure of the identity of these extra bands).

This antibody has specificity for Human CETN2/Centrin 2.

Target Information

RNP2 a type I integral membrane protein found only in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The encoded protein is part of an N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex that links high mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues found in the Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptide chains. This protein is similar in sequence to the yeast oligosaccharyl transferase subunit SWP1.
