Product Specific Information
Reconstitute lyophilized product with 1 mL distilled water.
Recognizes a species-specific epitope on the 40 kD major outer membrane protein of C. trachomatis with a strong fluorescence of elementary bodies (EBs), reticulate bodies (Rbs) and cytoplasmic inclusions of B-complex serotypes. C-complex serotypes show a weak reaction.
Target Information
Chlamydia outer membrane complex (COMC) protein present in the periphery of reticulate bodies (RBs) and identifies all serotypes (serovars A-C, D-K and L1-L3) of C. trachomatis as well as Chlamydophila psittaci and Chlamydophila pneumoniae.
