PA1-25635 detects Cholera toxin from bacteria samples.
PA1-25635 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry and ELISA procedures.
The PA1-25635 immunogen is purified Choleragenoid.
Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Cholera toxin (CT) acts by transfer of ADP-ribose from intracellular NAD to the alpha chain of a trimeric G protein that functions to stimulate adenylate cyclase resulting in the increase of host cell cAMP. CT binds via the beta subunits to the GM1 ganglioside. Gangliosides are glycolipids that also contain oligosaccharides with one or more sialic acid residues.
