DCPS Antibody (A305-426A) in IP
Detection of human DCPS by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-DCPS antibody (Product # A305-426A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. DCPS was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-DCPS antibody A305-444A. For blotting immunoprecipitated DCPS, A305-426A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Target Information
Necessary for the complete degradation of mRNAs, both in normal mRNA turnover and in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Removes the 7-methyl guanine cap structure from mRNA fragments shorter than 10 nucleotides that are produced by 3'->5' exosome-mediated mRNA decay. Releases m7GMP. Can also degrade m7GDP to m7GMP. Has no activity towards mRNA molecules longer than 25 nucleotides.
