DHFR Antibody (PA5-79152) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis of DHFR in U20S cells using DHFR Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-79152). Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and incubated with the primary antibody at 5 µg/mL. DyLight 550 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody at 1:500 dilution and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The section was counterstained with DAPI. Target Information
Dihydrofolate reductase converts dihydrofolate into tetrahydrofolate, and is required for the synthesis of purines, thymidylic acid and certain amino acids. While the functional dihydrofolate reductase gene has been mapped to chromosome 5, multiple intronless processed pseudogenes or dihydrofolate reductase like genes have been identified on separate chromosomes. Dihydrofolate reductase deficiency has been linked to megaloblastic anemia.
