ESAM Antibody (PA5-47368) in WB
Western blot analysis of ESAM in HUVEC human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Samples were incubated in ESAM polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47368) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for ESAM at approximately 55 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse ESAM is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
ESAM is a 55-kDa membrane protein composed of 2 extracellular Ig domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a 120 amino acid cytoplasmic domain. ESAM is related to members of the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family, and is expressed on endothelial cells and activated platelets. ESAM at endothelial tight junctions plays a role in the regulation of vascular permeability, in response to agents such as VEGF or extravasating neutrophils.
