PA1-315 detects ERR2 from mouse and rat kidney extracts.
PA1-315 has been successfully used in Western blot and immunofluorescence procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~48 kDa protein representing ERR2 from rat kidney extract.
The PA1-315 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues D(376) Y E L S Q R H E E P R R(388) of mouse ERR2. This peptide (Cat. # PEP-251) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
ESRRB (steroid hormone receptor ERR2) plays a role in maintenance of self-renewal and pluripotency of embryonic and trophoblast stem cells through different signaling pathways including FGF signaling pathway and Wnt signaling pathways. Upon FGF signaling pathway activation ESRRB interacts with KDM1A by directly binding to enhancer sites of ELF5 and EOMES and activates their transcription leading to self-renewal of trophoblast stem cells. ESSRB also regulates expression of multiple rod-specific genes and is required for survival of this cell type. Defects in the gene can cause deafness, autosomal recessive, 35 (DFNB35).
