FAP Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of FAP in NIH-3T3 cells (green). Samples were fixed in paraformaldehyde and permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS, incubated with FAP polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-109215), followed by DAPI (blue).

FAP Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of FAP in Siha cell lysate. Samples were incubated with FAP polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-109215), at a dilution of 1:1000.

FAP Antibody in Flow Cytometry (Flow) — Flow cytometry of FAP in SH-SY5Y cells (red) compared with an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody; black). Samples were incubated with FAP polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-109215) at a dilution of 1:100, followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti rabbit IgG.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a homodimeric integral membrane gelatinase belonging to the serine protease family. It is selectively expressed in reactive stromal fibroblasts of epithelial cancers, granulation tissue of healing wounds, and malignant cells of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. This protein is thought to be involved in the control of fibroblast growth or epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development, tissue repair, and epithelial carcinogenesis.
