          FMO1 Antibody (PA5-95285) in WB

Western blot analysis of FMO1 using FMO1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-95285). Electrophoresis was performed on a 10% SDS-PAGE gel at 80V (Stacking gel)/120V (Resolving gel) for 2 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 µg of sample under reducing conditions. Lane 1: human hepatocellular carcinoma tumor tissue (HCCT) lysates. Lane 2: human HepG2 whole cell lysates. Lane 3: human HUH7 whole cell lysates. Lane 4: rat liver tissue lysates. Lane 5: mouse liver tissue lysates. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred... View More {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: human hepatocellular carcinoma tumor tissue, human HepG2 whole cell, human HUH7 whole cell, rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

          Target Information

Metabolic N-oxidation of the diet-derived amino-trimethylamine (TMA) is mediated by flavin-containing monooxygenase and is subject to an inherited FMO3 polymorphism in man resulting in a small subpopulation with reduced TMA N-oxidation capacity resulting in fish odor syndrome Trimethylaminuria. Three forms of the enzyme, FMO1 found in fetal liver, FMO2 found in adult liver, and FMO3 are encoded by genes clustered in the 1q23-q25 region. Flavin-containing monooxygenases are NADPH-dependent flavoenzymes that catalyzes the oxidation of soft nucleophilic heteroatom centers in drugs, pesticides, and xenobiotics.
