Product Specific Information
The antibody may be used in ELISA and Immuno-affinity-chromatography (IAC). Suggested dilution 1:50,000 in ELISA depending on the conjugate (this titer is defined as the dilution that gives 50 % of the absorbance from the maximum absorbance when tested with ELISA). Plates are coated with 400 ng/mL ovalbumine-conjugated fenitrothion. HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit Ig should be used as a tracer in a 1:8,000 dilution.
Target Information
Fenitrothion is an insecticide belonging to the group of organophosphothioates. It is found on fruits, vegetables and in the environment. Application is also in the storage of grain products. It has adverse effects on algae and mammals due to its biological activity as acetylcholine esterase inhibitor. In water organisms it may have and endocrine (thyroidal) effect.
