Immunohistochemical analysis of Fibrinogen in human liver tissue using a Fibrinogen polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-26809) at a dilution of 1:500 for 1 hr at room temperature. Secondary detection was performed using a Peroxidase-conjugated goat secondary antibody at 1:10,000 for 45 min at room temperature. Antigen retrieval was not required. Fibrinogen: precipitated red signal with hematoxylin purple nuclear counterstain.

PA1-26809 detects fibrinogen from human samples.
PA1-26809 has been successfully used in IHC (P) and Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26809 immunogen is fibrinogen from human plasma.
Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage, store at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
Fibrinogen exists as a soluble dimer (340 kDa) in plasma. Each monomer is composed of an alpha chain (63.5 kDa), a beta chain (56 kDa), and a gamma chain (47 kDa). Fibrinogen is an acute phase protein that is part of the coagulation cascade of proteins. The end result of the cascade is the production of thrombin that converts fibrinogen to fibrin. The amount of fibrinogen in the plasma can serve as a nonspecific indicator of whether or not an inflammatory process is present in the body.
