Folliculin Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of Folliculin in HeLa cells. Samples were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked with 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), incubated with mouse anti-beta tubulin and Folliculin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100247) using a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr, 37°C), and followed by goat anti-rabbit IgG Alexa Fluor 594 (red) and goat anti-mouse IgG Alexa Fluor 488 (green).

Folliculin Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of Folliculin in various samples (Lane 1: VERO cells, treated with blocking peptide, Lane 2: VERO cells, Lane 3: mouse spleen, Lane 4: MCF7). Samples were incubated with Folliculin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100247).

Target Information

This gene encodes a mitochondrial protein that is characterized by a poly-proline rich region. A chicken homolog of this protein promotes mitochondrial fission and the mouse homolog protects cells from oxidative stress. A related pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome X.
