GANC Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemical analysis of GANC in paraffin embedded human lung cancer using a GANC polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-98675) at a dilution of 1:200. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

GANC Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot analysis of GANC using a GANC Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-98675). Positive WB detected in: Hela whole cell lysate, MCF-7 whole cell lysate, HepG2 whole cell lysate, A549 whole cell lysate, Jurkat whole cell lysate. All lanes: GANC antibody at 1:1000. A secondary Goat polyclonal antibody to rabbit IgG was applied at a 1:50,000 dilution. Observed band size: 105 kDa.

Target Information

Glycosyl hydrolase enzymes hydrolyse the glycosidic bond between two or more carbohydrates, or between a carbohydrate and a non-carbohydrate moiety. This gene encodes a member of glycosyl hydrolases family 31. This enzyme hydrolyses terminal, non-reducing 1,4-linked alpha-D-glucose residues and releases alpha-D-glucose. This is a key enzyme in glycogen metabolism and its gene localizes to a chromosomal region (15q15) that is associated with susceptibility to diabetes.
