Western blot analysis of GARS in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with GARS Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-120201) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 5s.

Target Information
GARS is a glycyl-tRNA synthetase, one of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. This protein is an (alpha)2 dimer which belongs to the class II family of tRNA synthetases. The protein has been shown to be a target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune diseases, polymyositis or dermatomyositis.
