Target Information
The GASP2 gene encodes for a protein known as G protein-coupled receptor-associated sorting protein 2. GASP2 is involved in the regulation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), which are crucial for transmitting signals from the external environment to the inside of a cell. This protein plays a key role in the intracellular trafficking and sorting of GPCRs, affecting their recycling and degradation pathways, which are critical for receptor resensitization and downregulation.
