Neutralization of GM-CSF in TF‚1 human erythroleukemic cell line. Samples were incubated in GM-CSF polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47982) using a dilution of 50 ng/mL. Recombinant Feline GM‚CSF stimulates proliferation in the TF‚1 human erythroleukemic cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Feline GM‚CSF is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Goat Anti‚Feline GM‚CSF Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody. The ND50 is typically 0.5-2.0 µg/mL.

In direct ELISAs, approximately 40% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse GM-CSF, recombinant rat GM-CSF, and recombinant human GM-CSF is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
The GM-CSF gene encodes for a cytokine that regulates the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages and granulocytes. The active form of the protein exists as a homodimer in the extracellular space. This gene is located in a cluster of related genes at the chromosome region 5q31, which has been associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include interleukins 4, 5, and 13. The gene is involved in promoting tissue inflammation. Elevated levels of cytokines, including the one produced by this gene, have been observed in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Mice that lack this gene or its receptor have been shown to develop pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.
