Target Information
Glypican 2 (GPC2) is a gene located on chromosome 7q22.1, encoding a member of the glypican family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans that are attached to the cell surface via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor. Glypicans are involved in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and morphogenesis, primarily through their interactions with growth factors and morphogens in the extracellular environment.
