PA5-29509 targets HDC in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-29509 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 275 and 509 of Human HDC.
The biogenic amine histamine is an important modulator of numerous physiologic processes, including neurotransmission, gastric acid secretion, and smooth muscle tone. The biosynthesis of histamine from histidine is catalyzed by the enzyme L-histidine decarboxylase (HDC; EC 220.127.116.11). This homodimeric enzyme is a pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)-dependent decarboxylase and is highly specific for its histidine substrate.
