HEC1 Antibody (A300-770A) in IP
Detection of human HEC1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-HEC1 antibody BL3440 (Cat. No. A300-770A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. HEC1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-HEC1 antibodies BL3441 and BL3443 (Cat. No. A300-771A). For blotting immunoprecipitated HEC1, BL3443 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Target Information
Hec1 is one of several proteins involved in spindle checkpoint signaling. This surveillance mechanism assures correct segregation of chromosomes during cell division by detecting unaligned chromosomes and causing prometaphase arrest until the proper bipolar attachment of chromosomes is achieved.
