HYB 069-01-02 has specificity for apo A-1 from human serµm/plasma. No crossreactivity is seen with human apolipoprotein B.
HYB 069-01-02 has been successfully used in ELISA and Western blotting techniques. HYB 069-01 reacts with apo A-1 from human serµm/plasma when tested in sandwich ELISA in combination with a polyclonal antibody against apo A-1 and also in ELISA with purified apo A-1 or HDL directly coated onto the microtiterwell. In Western blot after SDS-PAGE, HYB 69-01 reacts with apo A-1 in reduced as well as in non-reduced forms.
The HYB 069-01-02 immunogen is Apo A-1 isolated from human plasma.
NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL
Apolipoprotein A-1 (apo A-1) in human plasma is a major protein component of high density lipoprotein (HDL). The molecular mass is 24 kDa. Apo A-1 is a cofactor for enzymes involved in the normal turnover of cholesterol and is produced in the liver. Plasma concentration is 270-380 mg/100 mL.
