In sandwich ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-31 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Interleukin 31, or IL-31 is a cytokine secreted by differentiated CD4+ T helper type 2 (Th2) cells. It is also released during inflammation of the skin, by macrophages and T cells. Because IL-31 is secreted by activated Th2 cells, it has a role in host defense against infection and may be involved in asthma, allergy and different types of bowel diseases.
