IL-4 Antibody (PA5-47930) in Neu
Neutralization of IL-4 in TF-1 human erythroleukemic cell line. Samples were incubated in IL-4 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47930) using a dilution of 50 ng/mL. Recombinant Canine IL-4 stimulates proliferation in the TF-1 human erythroleukemic cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Canine IL-4 is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Goat Anti-Canine IL-4 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody. The ND50 is typically 2-8 µg/mL.

In direct ELISAs, approximately 40% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-4 is observed, 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant feline IL-4 and recombinant porcine IL-4 is observed and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant cotton rat IL-4, recombinant mouse IL-4, and recombinant rat IL-4 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endoxin level is <0.01 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a pleiotropic, immune-modulatory cytokine produced by activated T cells, and serves as a ligand for interleukin 4 receptor. IL-4 has been found to have the broadest range of actions. The interleukin 4 receptor also binds to IL13, which may contribute to many overlapping functions of this cytokine and IL13. STAT6, a signal transducer and activator of transcription, has been shown to play an important role in mediating the immune regulatory signal of IL-4. The IL-4 gene, IL-3, IL-5, IL-13, and CSF2 form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q. In particular, IL-4 is located in close proximity to IL13 on the chromosome. Further, the IL-4 gene, IL13 and IL5 are found to be coordinated by several long-range regulatory elements over a 120 kilobase range on the chromosome. IL-4 delta 2 is a known splice variant of IL-4.
