JMJD2C Antibody (PA5-23065) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of JMJD2C in NIH3T3 cells. Samples were incubated with JMJD2C polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-23065) using a dilution of 2 µg/mL overnight at 4°C followed by anti-rabbit Dylight 488 (Green) at a dilution of 1:1,000 dilution for 60 minutes. Cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes and permeabilized in 0.5% Triton X-100 in PBS for 5 minutes. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 100X objective and digitally deconvolved.

Prior to immunostaining paraffin tissues, antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended.
Target Information
Jumonji domain-containing protein 2C (JMJD2C)/ Lysine-specific demethylase 4C (KDM4C) is a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-9' and 'Lys-36' residues of histone H3; thereby, playing a central role in histone code. KDM4C does not demethylate histone H3 'Lys-4', H3 'Lys-27', or H4 'Lys-20'. It demethylates trimethylated H3 "Lys-9' and H3 "Lys-36' residues. There is no activity on mono- or dimethylated residues. Demethylation of Lys residues generates formaldehyde and succinate.
