Immunofluorescent analysis of CD106 (green) showing staining in the cytoplasm of HUVEC cells treated with human TNF-alpha (right) compared to untreated HUVEC cells (left). Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Target Information
VCAM-1 is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine activated endothelium. The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction and may play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases.
