          Drebrin Antibody (MA5-28543) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence analysis of Drebrin was performed using 70% confluent log phase HEK-293 cells. The cells were fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde for 10 Minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 10 Minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 10 Minutes at room temperature. The cells were labeled with Drebrin Monoclonal Antibody (DBN-N-03) (Product # MA5-28543) at 5 µg/mL in 0.1% BSA, incubated at 4 degree Celsius overnight and then labeled with Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L), Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor 488(Product ... Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes drebrin, an approximately 100-125 kDa intracellular regulator of actin cytoskeleton.

It has also been successfully used in Mass Cytometry (CyTof).

          Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic actin-binding protein thought to play a role in the process of neuronal growth. It is a member of the drebrin family of proteins that are developmentally regulated in the brain. A decrease in the amount of this protein in the brain has been implicated as a possible contributing factor in the pathogenesis of memory disturbance in Alzheimer's disease. At least two alternative splice variants encoding different protein isoforms have been described for this gene.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
