Western Blot analysis of VCAM-1 (CD106) using CD106 (VCAM-1) Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-36041) at a dilution of 1:500. Lane A: NIH 3T3 whole cell lysate, Lane B: Mouse brain tissue lysate, Lane C: Mouse kidney tissue lysate, (Lysates/proteins at 30 µg per lane). The secondary antibody used was a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L)/HRP at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the ECL technique and performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 81 kDa. Observed band size: 100 kDa.

VCAM-1 is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine activated endothelium. The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction and may play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases.
