Western blot analysis of CD84 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with CD84 Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-42775) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 10s.

Target Information
CD84 is expressed on mature B cells and on B cell lines, including pre B cell lines, but not on plasma cell lines. Immunohistochemical studies demonstrated that CD84 strongly expressed on tissues macrophages. CD84 is also highly expressed on platelets and, at low levels on peripheral blood T cells. It is a highly glycosylated protein and belongs to immunoglobulin superfamily. It may play a role in leukocyte activation.
