PP5 Antibody (MA5-45365) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using human cervical cancer cells. Fixation involved 4% Formaldehyde for 15 min at RT. Samples were incubated with PP5 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45365) at 1:100 for 60 min at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse ATTO 488 at 1:100 for 60 min at RT. Counterstain used was DAPI (blue) nuclear stain at 1:5,000 for 5 min RT. Localization: Nucleus, Cytoplasm. Magnification: 40X.

1 µg/mL of MA5-45365 was sufficient for detection of PP5 in 15 µg of human A431 lysates by ECL analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects approximately 58kDa.
Target Information
This gene encodes a serine/threonine phosphatase which is a member of the protein phosphatase catalytic subunit family. Proteins in this family participate in pathways regulated by reversible phosphorylation at serine and threonine residues; many of these pathways are involved in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. The product of this gene has been shown to participate in signaling pathways in response to hormones or cellular stress, and elevated levels of this protein may be associated with breast cancer development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
