          GIT1 Antibody (MA5-45567) in ICC/IF

          Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using human neuroblastoma cells. Fixation involved 4% Formaldehyde for 15 min at RT. Samples were incubated with GIT1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45567) at 1:100 for 60 min at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse ATTO 488 at 1:100 for 60 min at RT. Counterstain used was Phalloidin Texas Red F-Actin stain; DAPI (blue) nuclear stain at 1:1,000; 1:5,000 for 60 min RT, 5 min RT. Localization: Cytoplasm. Magnification: 60X.           Product Specific Information

          1 µg/mL of MA5-45567 was sufficient for detection of GIT1 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects approximately 90kDa. Does not cross-react with GIT2.

          This antibody was formerly sold as clone S39B-8.

          Target Information

          GIT1 is a GTPase-activating protein for the ADP ribosylation factor family. It may serve as a scaffold to bring together molecules to form signaling modules controlling vesicle trafficking, adhesion and cytoskeletal organization. It increases the speed of cell migration, as well as the size and rate of formation of protrusions, possibly by targeting PAK1 to adhesions and the leading edge of lamellipodia.
