Hexanoyl-Lysine adduct Antibody (MA5-45782) in Flow
Flow Cytometry analysis using human neuroblastoma cells. Fixation involved 90% Methanol. Samples were incubated with Hexanoyl-Lysine adduct monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45782) at 1:50 for 30 min on ice, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse: PE at 1:100 for 20 min at RT. Isotype Control: Non Specific IgG.

A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45782 was sufficient for detection of Hexanoyl Lysine adduct in 0.5 µg of Hexanoyl Lysine conjugated to BSA by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary Antibody.|Specific for Hexanoyl-Lysine adduct (HEL) modified peptides and proteins. Does not detect free Hexanoyl-Lysine. Does not cross-react with Acrolein, Crotonaldehyde, 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal, 4-Hydroxy nonenal, Malondialdehyde, or Methylglyoxal modified proteins.
Target Information
Hexanoyl-lysine (HEL) is a novel lipid peroxidation biomarker which is derived from the oxidation of omega-6 unsaturated fatty acid. HEL may be used as a biomarker in omega-6 PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acid) oxidation in living organisms.
