Immunohistochemistry analysis using kidney. Fixation involved formalin fixed, paraffin embedded treatment. Samples were incubated with Sulfotyrosine monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45833) at 1:25 for 1 hour at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse IgG: Alexa Fluor 488. A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45833 was sufficient for detection of Sulfotyrosine in 0.5 µg of Sulfotyrosine conjugated to BSA by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary Antibody.|Specific for sulfated tyrosine residues on various proteins. Does not detect free Sulfotyrosine. Does not cross-react with phosphotyrosine.
Target Information
Sulfotyrosine is involved in protein-protein interactions. Sulfotyrosines are present in all multicellular eukaryotes, but unicellular eukaryotes such as yeast and prokaryotes are not capable of tyrosine sulfation.
